Halloween
Halloween is a fun holiday celebrated on October 31st every year. On this day, people, especially children, dress up in costumes that can be scary, funny, or creative. Many kids go trick-or-treating, where they go from house to house, knock on doors, and ask for candy by saying, “Trick or treat!”
People also decorate their homes with spooky things like pumpkins, ghosts, and witches. A popular tradition is carving jack-o’-lanterns, which are pumpkins with faces cut into them and a candle placed inside to make them glow.
Halloween is also a time for parties, haunted houses, and watching scary movies. Some people tell ghost stories or play fun Halloween games. While Halloween is mostly about having fun, it originally came from old traditions where people believed spirits would visit the earth.
Today, itโs a holiday that both kids and adults enjoy, and itโs all about dressing up, having fun, and, of course, getting lots of candy!
